Drawn to Alaska by a thirst for adventure, camaraderie, and fresh powder, Michael—an avid skier and financial guru turned commercial fisherman—met Taylor on the docks early one morning, sparking a lasting friendship. After several seasons working side by side on the open ocean, they set their sights on a new venture together: buying, remodeling, and reimagining the old Anchorage Downtown Hotel!

Teague Russell

Transforming the old Anchorage Downtown Hotel into a unique destination required vision and expertise. For this ambitious project, Taylor turned to his childhood friend and trusted project manager, Teague, who led the renovations with skill, dedication, and artistry—bringing new life to The Highliner Hotel.
